Leadership Lessons for Dragon Riders and Modern Women Warriors

Join Pull the Focus founder, executive coach and fellow book lover, Michelle Manassah, on Thursday, March 14 at 8pm ET on Zoom to break down the juicy leadership lessons embedded in Rebecca Yarros’ bestselling series, Fourth Wing. Reading the book is not required.

In this free 45-minute event, we’ll talk about leadership and power through the lens of:

-       setting your boundary wards

-       knowing your limits and how to stretch them

-       connecting with your inner dragon voice

-       constructing your mental shields to quiet your inner critic and tune out feedback

-       approaching the war, not the battle without underestimating yourself

-       overcoming real life burnout that threatens to take both you and your dragon down

From Michelle:

What does a fantasy novel have to do with women’s leadership lessons?

When I read Fourth Wing, I felt like Rebecca Yarros had taken all my favorite leadership books and systematically layered the concepts on top of her addictive, captivating characters and fantasy landscape. I couldn’t not see it.

I want to pull those layers from the shadows and share the lessons with you. And I desperately need a rousing book conversation about my new favorite fantasy series because the wait for Book 3 is agonizing.

What I hope you’ll take away:

Leadership lessons are everywhere, but implementing them in the moment can feel really hard. When we have something exciting and entertaining to visualize, we can access the tools in a much more empowered way.

I hope you take these important tools within the wrapper of Violet Sorrengail as she employs them in the brutal, chilling adventures in Fourth Wing. Then, when you’re questioning a big decision, visualize what Violet would do.

Do I have to read the book first?

I endeavor to keep the concepts top line, sharing contextual information without giving away major plot points. However, I hope we’ll have an interactive chat and can’t promise that spoilers won’t be shared. If you don’t mind knowing more about a book before you read it, join us. If the thought of spoilers is holding you back, send me a message and I can send you a recording without the chat.
